Rasyiqah Johan, or widely known as Syiqa, is a dazzling figure in the ever-evolving realm of social media. Adored for her impeccable style, radiant beauty and magnetic presence, she has become one of the most recognisable faces in the local digital scene. But behind every flawless photo and perfectly crafted post, there lies a quiet force who has shaped her journey from the very beginning — her mother, Puan Hazimah Aziz.
More than just a parent, Puan Hazimah has been the foundation of Syiqa’s resilience, the unwavering backbone who stood tall through storms so her children could walk in the sun.
This Mother’s Day, Beauté Library x B+ Clinic invited this beloved mother-daughter duo to unwind with a relaxing treatment while sharing their story through an intimate Q&A. It was a chance for them to pause from the hustle and bustle, reflect on the deeper journey beyond the glitz and glamour, and open up about the sacrifices, strength, and the silent, steadfast love only a mother could give.
In this intimate piece, we peel back the layers to hear from Puan Hazimah herself, and uncover the untold memories and emotional truths that shaped not only her daughter’s success but the woman she has become.

Syiqa: “Mama, do you ever feel invisible?”
Puan Hazimah: "Yes! Sometimes I do feel invisible, because I have sacrificed a lot. I needed to be strong to raise you and your sisters, and to always be there for all of you. I managed to go through everything and I left my toxic relationship. I want you to learn from that and not to follow in my footsteps."
Her words are quiet, but they echo with power. Behind that soft voice lies a history of battles fought in silence; the kind of battles no one sees, no one applauds, but are carried every single day by mothers who refuse to let their children feel the weight of the world.
To raise children with love while carrying invisible wounds requires an extraordinary kind of strength. And in that moment, as she speaks with gentle grace, it is clear that Puan Hazimah is not just a mother. She is a survivor, a guide, and a woman whose spirit never wavered, even in the darkest hours.
What sacrifices did your mom make that you only understood when you grew older?
Syiqa: "I used to question what I didn’t have, like a healthy family or a father figure at home. But now, as a grown woman, I regret even thinking about what I didn’t have. I see now how much my mom sacrificed, and I realize it wasn’t easy for her. I’m so grateful to have her as my mom. I never noticed how slowly she was aging, and I wish I had spent more time with her."
There is something deeply humbling about adulthood, how it changes your perspective on the past, especially when it comes to your mother. As we grow into ourselves, we begin to see the woman behind the role. The dreams she gave up. The emotions she tucked away. The nights she stayed up so we could sleep peacefully.
Puan Hazimah never asked for thanks. She never needed recognition. Her success was not measured in material things but in the strength of the daughters she raised. And for Syiqa, understanding that now brings a bittersweet mix of gratitude and sorrow for the time lost, the moments unnoticed, and the sacrifices once unseen.
This Mother’s Day collaboration is more than a celebration of beauty. It is an homage to the invisible labour of love that mothers carry through every chapter of life. It is a reminder to pause, to listen and to truly see the women who raised us in all their strength, fragility and grace.
"It’s never too late. There’s more to come."
Simple, yet deeply profound. A reminder that healing, growth, and love have no expiration date. In a world that often rushes us forward, these words ground us in hope. This Mother’s Day, may we all take a moment to look back with gratitude, embrace the present with love, and step into the future with open hearts, knowing that no matter the journey, the bond between mother and child is forever unfolding.
